two trade fairs, one mission
This spring, Emoss will attend two leading European trade fairs: Nordbygg in Stockholm and IFAT in Munich. While these events serve different sectors, the mission is the same. At both fairs, Emoss will showcase scalable electric powertrain solutions for heavy-duty applications in construction and infrastructure, as well as for municipal and industrial use — enabling zero-emission operation without compromising performance, availability, or total cost of ownership (TCO).
We spoke with Toine Frazer, Sales Manager at Emoss, about the key takeaways from Nordbygg and what to expect at IFAT.
“Nordbygg made it clear that the market is entering a new phase,” Toine explains. “The conversation is no longer about whether electrification works, but about how to scale from pilots to reliable fleet-wide deployment.”
As a leading trade fair for construction and infrastructure, Nordbygg brought together professionals looking for proven electric powertrains that perform in real working conditions. Many conversations focused on duty cycles, uptime, and operational continuity — critical factors when moving beyond pilot projects.
Reliability and day-to-day operation were at the top of the agenda in Stockholm. Construction and infrastructure companies need powertrain solutions that support a full working shift, integrate smoothly into existing machinery, and remain dependable under demanding conditions.
“At Emoss, we always look at the full application,” Toine says. “That includes duty cycle analysis, energy consumption, battery and system architecture, charging strategy, and serviceability. Only then can electrification truly deliver value in daily operations.”
As zero-emission operation increasingly becomes both a legal and operational requirement, certainty is crucial. Fleet owners need to be confident that electric vehicles will remain available, efficient, and serviceable throughout their entire lifecycle.
Next week, Emoss will continue these conversations at IFAT in Munich — the international meeting place for waste collection, recycling, water management, and other municipal and industrial applications. Toine Frazer will be joined by CTO Patrick Heuts and Account Manager Thijs Swagten, ensuring both commercial and technical expertise is available for in-depth discussions.
“Municipal and industrial applications often involve long operating hours, variable loads, and a strong focus on safety and reliability,” Toine explains. “That’s why we see a lot of interest in fully electric solutions — especially where continuous power or extended range is needed.”
At IFAT, Emoss focuses on electric powertrains for specialised vehicles and machinery, as well as complete e-mobility integration — from concept development and engineering to series and low-volume production, with uptime and serviceability built into the design from the start.
For Emoss, IFAT is not only about volume. “Our goal is to have meaningful conversations with OEMs, fleet owners, and partners who are ready for the next step in electrification,” Toine concludes. “Real collaboration starts with concrete cases and technical depth.”
